An               organic               tomato               tastes               so               much               better               than               a               conventional               one,               and               could               it               be               that               the               chemicals               that               protect               a               conventional               tomato               has               altered               the               taste.

    The               weight               loss               and               endurance-building               system               consists               of               intensive               weight               training               routines               combined               with               a               three-phase               diet               program.

    The               P90X               nutrition               plan               is               designed               to               provide               you               with               the               energy               you               need               to               get               through               each               workout               and               increase               your               stamina               and               endurance               as               quickly               as               possible.

    This               diet               program               does               require               a               sincere               commitment,               and               you               can               expect               to               make               several               modifications               to               your               daily               menu.

    Here's               what               you               need               to               know               before               you               start               the               P90X               diet               program:
                   1.

    You'll               be               eating               protein               with               nearly               every               meal.

    The               P90X               nutrition               program               requires               you               to               follow               a               high-protein               diet               during               the               first               phase,               and               continue               eating               lean               protein               at               nearly               every               meal               during               the               second               and               third               phases.

    Lean               protein               will               help               you               stay               in               fat-burning               mode               longer,               and               will               help               you               curb               hunger               pangs.

    Ample               protein               is               also               important               for               recovering               after               your               intensive               weight               training               routines               that               make               up               the               P90X               workout               program.
                   2.

    White               bread               and               sugar               will               be               eliminated               completely               from               your               diet.

    You               can               no               longer               count               on               snacks               made               with               white               flour               and               sugar               to               get               your               energy               boost.

    These               carbs               are               high               on               the               glycemic               index,               and               will               end               up               making               you               hungrier               and               craving               even               more               carbs.

    The               P90X               nutrition               program               requires               you               to               eliminate               all               of               these               carbs               and               replace               them               with               whole               grains               such               as               brown               rice,               whole               wheat               bread,               and               whole               wheat               pasta.
                   3.

    You               need               to               drink               at               least               ten               glasses               of               water               each               day.

    Water               aids               with               digestion,               keeps               you               feeling               full,               and               will               help               you               stay               well-hydrated               after               performing               your               intensive,               sweat-inducing               workout               routines.

    The               P90X               nutrition               plan               requires               that               you               drink               at               least               ten               8               oz.

    You'll               have               to               commit               to               a               high-protein               diet               for               several               weeks.

    Plan               to               break               up               your               meals               into               smaller               portions.

    The               only               way               to               maintain               a               steady               level               of               energy               throughout               the               day               is               to               eat               balanced               'mini-meals.'               The               P90X               nutrition               plan               was               designed               with               the               mini-meal               strategy               in               mind.

    This               will               require               some               adjustments               to               your               usual               eating               schedule,               and               you'll               need               to               plan               your               meals               ahead               of               time               to               make               sure               you               don't               end               up               missing               a               meal.

    Expect               to               eat               on               a               consistent               schedule               day               in,               day               out.
                   6.

    You               can               use               your               own               supplements.

    Even               though               the               makers               of               the               P90X               workout               program               encourage               you               to               order               their               'special'               recovery               drinks,               protein               bars               and               supplements,               you               can               use               your               own               preferred               brand               of               supplements               as               long               as               they               are               made               with               equivalent               ingredients.

    Take               the               time               to               review               the               nutrition               facts               and               ingredients               of               the               recommendations               by               P90X,               and               then               find               supplements               and               snacks               that               best               suit               your               budget               and               taste.
                   7.

    You               can               extend               any               of               the               phases               if               you're               not               getting               results.

    Phase               1               is               designed               to               get               you               through               the               first               three               weeks               of               the               P90X               program,               but               you               can               extend               it               to               four               or               five               weeks               if               you're               not               seeing               any               results.

    Phase               2,               the               'Energy               Booster'               phase,               can               be               undertaken               as               part               of               your               'normal'               lifestyle               when               you've               lost               the               weight;               Phase               3               is               only               meant               for               people               who               want               to               increase               their               energy               and               stamina,               and               undertake               a               more               athletic               lifestyle               and               diet.

    Your               diet               needs               to               support               your               1               hour               a               day,               6               days               per               week               workouts.

    Sticking               with               the               P90X               workout               routine               can               be               difficult               if               you're               not               used               to               working               out               regularly,               but               the               P90X               system               is               designed               to               work               in               13               weeks               with               this               type               of               commitment.

    Your               diet               needs               to               support               your               efforts,               so               it's               imperative               that               you               eat               just               the               right               amount               of               protein,               carbs               and               fat               during               each               P90X               phase.

    You               also               need               to               focus               on               pushing               yourself               to               the               max               during               every               workout,               so               be               prepared               to               focus               and               'bring               it'               each               and               every               day.
                   The               P90X               workout               system               isn't               for               everyone,               but               it               does               provide               an               alternative               to               hiring               a               personal               trainer               or               undertaking               a               boot               camp               workout               at               your               local               gym               or               fitness               center.

    You               may               get               better               results               with               the               P90X               system               if               you               plan               your               schedule               for               the               next               few               months               to               accommodate               for               the               big               changes               you're               required               to               make.
