It               was               a               lovely               tree               and               the               kids               were               proud               of               their               contribution.
               Do               you               have               kids               who               are               10               to               12               years               and               up,?

Ask               if               they               want               gifts               or               money               or               homemade               gestures               (start               early               in               the               year               with               the               homemade               gestures)               and               tell               them               there               is               a               set               budget               for               Christmas.

Our               kids               last               year               wanted               to               shop               after               Christmas               at               the               sales               on               boxing               day.

So               we               did               one               small               gift               each               from               "Santa"               and               new               socks               or               slippers               and               their               Christmas               stockings               (which               Dad               does).

They               had               fun               shopping               and               came               home               with               their               deals               with               things               they               really               wanted.
               Do               pot               luck               dinners               with               friends               and               family               instead               of               big               fancy               dinners               where               you               stress               over               having               everything               just               right               or               what               to               wear.

All               kids               will               remember               is               that               mom               was               cranky               and               the               jello               salad               got               dropped.
               If               you               do               go               to               parties               or               family               gatherings               outside               of               home,               Plan               to               arrive               20               Minutes               early               and               go               home               at               a               reasonable               hour.

That               usually               means               that               with               all               the               disasters               and               minor               upsets               that               accompany               children,               you               still               get               there               on               time               and.

Getting               appropriate               rest               is               key,               but               proper               nutrition               is               also               vital.
